I totally get it! I did this for the longest time, but over the last year realized how important it is to show up in my business.
Easier said than done, right?
Wrong!
To make showing up in your business easier, I’ve put together seven ideas for you! These are all tried and tested by me and are ways that I work towards showing up in my business every day.
7 Ways to Show Up in Your Business
Put Those Headshots to Good Use
When was the last time you posted a photo of yourself? If you can’t remember or if you had to open up Instagram to check to see the exact date, it’s time to show off those headshots! After all, you didn’t invest in brand photography to never share the photos!
In the caption itself, introduce yourself to your current and potential clients/customers! A few things you can share include:
Where you live
Your favorite hobbies outside of work
Your favorite service/product you offer
Your favorite thing about your business
Send Out an Email Newsletter
When it comes to marketing your business, there are two things you own: your website and your email list. If it’s been a while since you last sent out an email newsletter to your list, here’s your reminder!
A few email newsletter ideas:
Valuable tips relating to your industry
Information about your services
Share a recent blog post
Sign Up for a Networking Event
Attending a networking event can be a really exciting experience, especially if you work from home! Search for some local or virtual networking events to push yourself out of your comfort zone, meet new people, and promote your business.

Share Your Client Testimonials
Sharing your client testimonials is a great way to showcase what it’s like to work with YOU! Put together a few slides in Canva, share them to your Instagram Stories, and then save them to a highlight on your profile so they can always be accessed.
Engage with Your Online Community
The best way to show up in your business? Engaging with your online community! Start by commenting, liking, saving, and sharing others’ posts in your community. Bonus points for showing up on Instagram Stories, asking questions, and providing tips! After all, putting a face to the name is one of the easiest ways to connect with your audience.
Update Photos on Your Website & Social Media
Have you recently invested in a branding photography session? Show off those photos! Do a quick sweep of your website and update outdated images. Once that’s done, go through your social media profiles, CRM, and any other client-facing tools and update your profile picture.
Send Out a Client Feedback Survey
The best way to make updates in your business is to get feedback from your clients! Put together a quick 10-15 survey and send it out to past and current clients to get their feedback. The other benefit to doing this? New testimonials!
Remember, marketing takes time. You don’t need to rush it! Start by taking these baby steps and over time they’ll add up to a strong strategy that allows you to get new clients, provide resources to your audience, and more!
